Christine was a GP Partner in Nottinghamshire before expanding her portfolio to both undergraduate and post graduate clinical education, based at the University of Nottingham Medical School since 1993 and for NHS England (formerly Health Education England).Most weeks she undertakes supportive Quality Assurance visits to practices in the East Midlands, interacting with GPs, managers, nurses and pharmacists. She is clinical lead for Schwartz rounds, as part of the Centre for Interprofessional Education, having been a teaching lecturer for 25 years.

 Additional aspects of her portfolio included Clinical Lead for 111 Urgent Care Nottinghamshire and Midlands, as well as being a Council member and Trustee of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Her research looked at the expanded role of pharmacists; embracing digital technology; Patient Safety in Primary Care and the non–covid impact of lockdown on children
